Here are six words that best describe this week's radio program: AL JOLSON AND RUBY KEELER TOGETHER. From June, 1936, this week you can hear Mr. and Mrs. Al Jolson on the Lux Radio Theatre in a production of "Burlesque." The plot of this drama might be predictable, but the Jolson performances within the program are great. Be sure to stay until the end for Jolson's encore! Al and Ruby did not perform together that often, this is a great example.

Along with the program, check out the photos and review of the broadcast.

Al Jolson's Lifebuoy Program With 99 programs broadcast over almost 2½ years, there are precious few transcriptions of this largest body of Jolson broadcast work. Here is a little bit about Al Jolson's Cafe Trocadero, later The Al Jolson Program, and a look at some of the material the IAJS has added to the catalog.
