Here are six words that best describe this week's radio program: AL JOLSON AND RUBY KEELER TOGETHER. From June, 1936, this week you can hear Mr. and Mrs. Al Jolson on the Lux Radio Theatre in a production of "Burlesque." The plot of this drama might be predictable, but the Jolson performances within the program are great. Be sure to stay until the end for Jolson's encore! Al and Ruby did not perform together that often, this is a great example.
Along with the program, check out the photos and review of the broadcast. |
