In 2015, Victoria Jolson, who was married to Al Jolson, Jr., and her daughter Kate Jolson, awarded the first Al Jolson Humanitarian Award to Connie Francis, in recognition of her work to preserve the memory of Al Jolson. Since that time, four other great talents have received this award: Norman Lear, Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner, and Burt Reynolds.
